Turn One Script Into a Week of YouTube Shorts

Most creators treat Shorts as a separate job — a second content machine they have to feed on top of their main channel. That's why they burn out. The creators who post Shorts daily aren't superhuman; they're repurposing. One well-written script can become an entire week of vertical videos if you structure it the right way.

Start with a script built in segments

Write your long-form script in self-contained chunks, where each section makes sense on its own. A "5 mistakes" video has five natural Shorts inside it. A historical explainer has a handful of surprising facts that each stand alone. When every block can be lifted out without losing context, you've already done 80% of the work.

Generate the long-form video first

Paste the full script into GetClipFox and produce your main 16:9 video. Because the agent splits the script into scenes and generates visuals and voiceover for each, you now have a library of ready-made segments — narration, visuals, and timing already done.

Re-cut each segment as a 9:16 Short

Switch the aspect ratio to 9:16 and the agent reframes the scenes vertically for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok. Take one strong segment, add a punchy hook line at the top, and export. Repeat for four or five segments. Each one is a complete Short that points viewers back to the full video.

Write hooks that earn the first second

Shorts are won or lost in the opening frame. Rewrite the first line of each clip as a pattern interrupt: a bold claim, a question, or a number. "Most people get compound interest wrong" beats "Today we're talking about compound interest" every time. The body can stay exactly as it was in the long-form script.

Stagger the release

Don't dump all five Shorts at once. Publish the long-form video, then release one Short per day for the rest of the week. You stay visible in the Shorts feed daily, and every clip is a new on-ramp to the same long-form video and channel.

The weekly system

  • Write one segmented long-form script (800–1,200 words).
  • Generate the 16:9 video.
  • Export 5 vertical Shorts from the strongest segments.
  • Rewrite 5 hooks — one line each.
  • Schedule: long-form on day one, one Short per day after.

One script. Six videos. A few minutes of work instead of a week of editing. Try it free and turn your next script into a full week of content.
